Courses

Theory of urbanism

Theory of Urbanism deals with models, projects, tools, planning and design techniques from the XVIIIth Century to the present day, by linking theoretical discourse and design, text and image. Urban models and projects are the testing ground of ideas and concepts in the form of spatial themes.

UE J : Territory and landscape

EU J introduces students to urban and territorial analysis, in the light of a research hypothesis. A sequence of operations is proposed: fieldwork, space and uses analysis, and identification of design and project principles.

Post-extraction territories in transition #2

The Seminar proposes an European and transatlantic dialogue around the questions of the social and ecological transition (post-carbon) of marginal spaces, and territories of exploitation as the ancient coal territories on the two sides of the Atlantic.
